Great recipes for 2!
Love this cookbook for 2. All family have grown and moved out so this cookbook for 2 is wonderful. The recipe book has pictures and instruction how to prepare certain foods, it also gives substitutions for missing ingredients and/or substitutes for items you don’t like.I bought the one with spring binding to help keep the page open while following the recipe,

This book is absolutely the best written cookbook of all time. I have loads of.cookbooks subscriptions galore…this beats them all. Its just me and my husband so having to relearn to cook for just us is a daily struggle. This book doesnt just give recipes it teaches you how to change your shopping how to buy things to use in multiple recipes. It absolutely has amazing recipes to. This is honestly the first time I have written just a review for a cookbook. Most books have a few things you like or would make. This book is way different. Its fun its well written and delicious is an understatement!

Best cookbook I’ve ever owned!
This cookbook has completely changed the way I cook! Not only is it filled with delectable recipes, it also has so many tips and helpful information about foods, preparing them, and cooking them. Each recipe begins with a small paragraph about the recipe and any substitutios that can be made, such as different types of hot peppers that can be used alternatively. There are also notes on any special prep technique required. Alternative variations are also included for some of the recipes. One of my favorites is a variation of another recipe that contains something I don’t eat. I had been cooking the same tired old recipes I’d been making since I was 12, then I got sick of leftovers so I bought this book. I wish I had found it years ago, cutting my recipes down when it was just me & my son was such a hassle. Now we have all types of exotic food, Thai, Indian and Italian dishes I had never had before and they are all big hits in my home!Thank you America’s Test Kitchen for the best cookbook I’ve ever owned! You will not be disappointed if you buy this amazing cookbook!

Need a microwave and an exercise program
This would be the perfect cookbook except for the fact that not everyone has a microwave. My kitchen is small and I have choices to make. Microwave oven was the first thing jettisoned. When prepping they needed to give a non-microwave option. Otherwise this book replaces a lot of books. It has a recipe for every occasion. Be aware, the recipes are not heart healthy or calorie light.

Perfect for one to two people!!
Amazing!!! I love how this cookbook for for 2 people! As almost an empty nester with a husband who travels- sometimes I do not want to cook a meal for 4! I love the pictures. I do wish every recipe had a picture, but understand that would be impossible. I also love the first section with their tips. Super great!

I am glad I got it.
I love that it’s hardbound so it will last years. The recipes are easy to read and easy to follow. The intro explains many techniques and identifies food items I have never used so I want to try them. I am glad I got it.

Excellent recipes, gorgeous photos, and high quality construction
Very useful, with well-written recipes that have been tested and are workable. Quality paper and photos. As usual for ATK this is an excellent product, well worth the price. I have arthritis, so the one downside is that is that I find it heavy. If thatâs going to be a problem for you, consider versions other than hard cover.

What else needs to be said – I have most of their cookbooks (lots!) and I love every one of them. This one does not disappoint.
Jan B –
Love the number of recipe choices for 2 people, especially the dessert recipes for cakes where ingredients are specifically measured for a small cake.

Great concept but not so great result. I am a big fan of America’s Test Kitchen and have subscribed to their website for a couple of years now. They are notorious for making things complicated. Even their slow cooker recipes frequently use a microwave in prep. I haven’t owned a microwave since my old one died a few years ago. I dont miss it. They’re also big on hard-to-find ingredients. Lastly, the amount of ingredients in this book are often going to leave you stuck with leftover ingredients. Example: A recipe calls for 1 cop drained canned chickpeas . . . what the heck do I do with the other cup (Canadian canned chickpeas drained to 2 cups)?I think I’ll stick to the website which has many more recipe options from which to choose.
