Excellent
Great collection of the original Grimm brothersâ tales. Not Disney versions or watered down drivel. Read one to your kid each night instead of having them play on their phone.

Unvarnished stories
I love this book. These are not the fairytales that I read when I was a child, as those were toned down for youngsters. All the stories have lessons and provide an entertaining read.

Thin and esay to read.
Thin, like the stories. Would not handle a normal usage beating. If binding is bent book would lose pages. Minimal pictures.

Nothing fancy but fine for the price
I got the Dover fairy tale coloring book and wanted this to accompany it for a hands on story time for active children. It doesnât match up completely but covers enough that I am satisfied. Itâs a thrift edition and good for its price, a book I donât mind getting a little banged up from use. There are no illustrations so if you want pictures I recommend getting a more expensive hardcover version.

Great affordable edition
Great affordable edition of a classic.

Finally Grimm
My biggest thing about this book is that it is spelled correctly. Grimm not Grim. I love this book and enjoy the REAL fairy tales

Great price and edition, but lacks pictures.
I bought this one as it is on Marva Collins’ recommended reading list. It seems good.I don’t like that Dover takes over the covers with tacky generic that detracts from the artwork and the back cover feels like I’m looking at a PowerPoint slide. Some hand drawn pictures to go with the stores would add a nice touch. However, not a bad deal for a brand new book. Classic tales to expand the imagination and curiosity of youth.

Old German Fairy tales with wise words/life experience for all who can open their minds and hearts.
I listened to these fairy tales as a kid. I have never forgotten them and realized growing up the careful messages the stories tried to transmitâ¦.

Very bad, old times English, difficult to understand

Came in great shape. But the stories were not as dark as I expected
