Worth reading!
Just because I am a secularist it does not mean that I do not appreciate the teachings of Jesus Christ. The lessons from these books are invaluable and filled with the morals that I try to teach my own children. I respect what the author has done here by creating simple lessons that are easy for young children to understand to make them better people. I did have some issues with the stories. I was hoping for a little more depth to the stories of Jesus and how we should use them to strive to be better people. I felt the book about being Calm truly could have benefitted with more depth to the story of Jesus on the ship. I believe these books would resonate better with children five and under.

Wow! I thought I was only getting one book for my Goddaughter, but the With Jesus series includes 11 beautifully written stories! Each one teaches an important virtues like kindness, gratitude, and bravery, all tied to Bible versus in a simple, relatable way. The colorful illustrations and bonus coloring pages make it even more special. It is a perfect set for sparking meaningful faith conversations with young children. At first glance, this book is visually pleasing to read. The little one certainly liked the images that accompany the book. This book is good for instilling positive values in your children. When I was younger and growing up, all the schools I attended were catholic schools. So, I know how beneficial it can be to be brought up in that environment. I read a couple of these with my niece and she actually sat still, thatâs saying something. The pictures are cute, and the little lessons are simple enough that even I got the point. Itâs like, âbe kind,â âdonât lie,â and âJesus helpsâ kind of stuff. Honestly, if I had these as a kid, I mightâve turned out better. Not bad for bedtime reads.
