Keeping fit â right when we need it the most!
British certified fitness coach and author James Atkinson has published ten valuable books on his advice for encouraging good health â FITNESS & EXERCISE MOTIVATION, FITNESS FOR WOMEN OF ANY AGE, JIMâS WEIGHT TRAINING GUIDE. JIMâS WEIGHT TRAINING & BODY BUILDING WORKOUT PLAN, MARATHON TRAINING, TOTAL FITNESS FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS, HEALTH AND FITNESS TIPS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE, HOME WORKOUT FOR BEGINNERS, HOME WORKOUT CIRCUIT TRAINING, and now RESISTANCE BAND TRAINING. He covers all the bases with actionable results! Now James comes to our rescue again, acknowledging that with the pandemic and lockdown that gyms are closed and anxiety levels are high, and the usual weight training exercises he has fostered may be lagging. So in this excellent guide he offers an alternative â resistance band training. The idea of having a completely portable (take it anywhere!) workout tool stimulates us all to join in â and keep fit, especially now when keeping healthy is even more accentuated. In his book he first instructs us on the factors of obtaining and understanding the right resistance band device and then follows that with exercises using the band to strengthen chest, back, legs, arms, shoulders, and abdomen â all accompanied by excellent illustrations demonstrating the exercise so that performing it is facile! The word descriptions are easy to follow and charts for keeping notes and planning progress are helpful. All of Jamesâ books provide supportive encouragement to the reader for achieving and maintaining fitness, delivered in a user-friendly manner. This is yet another very fine book – highly recommended. Grady Harp, February 21

Great Info
Excellent resource for a beginner to resistance band training. Lots of clear pictures and written detail to fully explain each exercise. The author provides a standard program anyone can use and more specialized programs that target specific goals. Beginners will appreciate the info on resistance band fundamentals; however, advanced will probably be disappointed that it doesnât go beyond the basics.

Great info…Simple to implement
Jim has a knack for simple and effective writing and exercise advise. This is simple enough for anyone to use as a guide but offers good reminders and information for more advanced exercisers looking to do more with their home programs or just to advance into a different way to resistance train.

Good Read
I found this book worthwhile because of the clear pictures and descriptions of the exercises. The multi function exercises was helpful. Didn’t listen to the podcast.

Not worth it
Exercises are ok. The book is small and kind of cheap. Not as many pictures as I would have liked to see.

I only tried a couple exercises so far, but they are good. I might have to get some other exercises bands sometime. Is a low impact workout

Got it for someone else, havn,t heard any complaints so must be ok
Shiva Iyer –
Liked the way in which the book rolled. Right from the basics of ‘what’ to move towards ‘How’. First and foremost for anyone getting into a journey is to start the process .
Gundam RX78 –
OTTIMO!!

Itâs a complete waste of money. It doesnât say anything, very few exercises.Better to buy a more expensive book that contains any information in it.
